In business for more than 10 years, Fashion Matters began in a (really)
small office above The Block Arcade in Collins Street, Melbourne in
1996. 10 years on and we have sold more than 400 licenses of Fashion
Design Software through our Australian office in Melbourne and reseller
office in New Zealand (Identity Solutions, Auckland).
Selling to both the general Clothing and
Textile Industries as well as Educational Institutions, we pride ourselves
as being one of the most trustworthy and reliable software Sales and
Support Companies in this Industry.
Fashion Matters is staffed by Özlem Ruiz and Mitchell Dobelsky as well
as commissioned salespeople and contract trainers in Melbourne and
Sydney. Both trained in the hard and fast New York Marketplace, working
in the main Colour Matters office for (Özlem) 5 years and (Mitchell) 2
years. The experiences in New York helped develop wide ranging
technical skills in very different Company environments.
As the company has grown we have introduced innovations like our
half-yearly Users Group Meetings. We’ve done these to encourage people
from the industry to mingle and discuss the industry as well as up
coming features in our software. Also, it’s a chance to talk to designers
and find out what features they would find useful to add to the software.
In this way they help develop the software and we understand their
requirements better. Without the input of the designers our software
wouldn’t be where it is today!
